We will put your search engine together with some
patchwork. Some code here and some you might prefer to
write yourself for your own system.
There is no 'package' install for your search engine, because
your search engine is your own search engine.
We are happy to share database designs and code for various functions,
but you must build it yourself. If your search engine
has the required functions to provide referrals to other sites
then your site will see increased return traffic.
This provides a rough guide to the functions that form the search engine. Each can be coded or constructed from available source code.
The source code may be a mixture of bespoke or open source.
We will share some PHP source code for each function so that participating domains can mix and match, as they build their own contributions to the decentralised search.
Compare each step with the steps taken on this site. noisylamb.com
Update your database every time a page is requested with a ?referrer=DOMAIN
We have a PHP script pageLoadSQL that checks every request. You must install or modify some similar code on your system to update and referrals onto your own database.
Domains that have been referring your pages should be given a higher ranking in your own search engine.
We do this with a table that has a unique index on the columns ['web_page'] and ['keyword'] This is the main database table for the search engine.
We should use the <meta name="keywords" content="word1,word2"> as a way to exactly specify a small set of keywords for each page.
No domain or organisation is to dictate methods or code to others. If we use Big Tech SEO, such as Google, Microsoft or Apple, we will be forever slaves, stuck in a box and giving all our stuff away. It takes a little courage to wonder off the plantation, but if you are not alone, it will all be worth it.
Any site can be a part of a decentralised system. Just join to others and go.
Later you can add your own search form to work off your own view of the domains that you choose to promote. Nobody tells you to load this software that dictates the top promotions. You choose whether or not to ask for help constructing your search. You may prefer just to send searchers to another website that you trust
colour coding your search results
We chose to colour code various search results
to show how they fit into the domain family.
External Links may be unrelated or may be our own domain family
or even associates that we give a little boost to.
All boosting is a matter of choice for each sites search, but
the way you choose to promote other sites will be reflected in how others rate
your site. The key is, promote others and they will promote you to lift their
own rating.
Do a good job helping other domains and get natural rewards. Don't compete but in the market, but bathe in the benefits of your market.
Do not demand sign up, but openly share your feeds and links to partners
The more you help, the more you will receive positive reflections in the form of returned help.
Some ideas, such as mapping keywords to pages, can be generally useful and understandable. These are not dictates, but more like just common sense good ideas.
Your site may benefit from supplying feeds to show all your interesting content and how it maps to hash tags and keywords.

There are so many ways to link to other sites. Keep it simple and follow the core principles and ideas, rather than sign up to specific systems.
Just add a beacon to your pages to accurately share all your page keywords so that your site's search results become magically accurate.
